to help you through the loss of your beloved pet…

Tza’ar Ba’alei Chayim

(The treatment of animals)

“As for me,” says God, “behold I establish My Covenant with you and with your seed after you, and with every living creature that is with you…”

Judaism has very powerful teachings about the proper treatment of animals. The loss of your beloved pet is heartbreaking. A member of your family, gifted with heightened senses, your pet has asked little of you but to provide love, shelter and sustenance. In return, your pet has been there for you, providing laughter, loving, smiles and comfort through all the moments of your shared lives.  When your beloved pet dies, it may help to soften the pain by performing a short Memorial Service. With the knowledge that your pet is in God’s loving care, you and/or your child/ren can experience some reassurance, comfort and solace.  Anyone who has ever loved a pet knows how devastating the death of a pet can be…anyone who has ever been loved by a pet… understands that this love will always be a part of you. Your pet has touched your life in a unique and profoundly special way.
